Obwohl alles ringsum W\u00fcste ist, ist die Landschaft doch abwechslungsreich. Mal flach, mal bergig oder D\u00fcnen. Sand-, Ger\u00f6ll- und Vulkangestein wechseln sich ab. Die Fahrt f\u00fchrt n\u00f6rdlich der Taklamakan W\u00fcste und s\u00fcdlich der W\u00fcste Gobi entlang. Von hier bis zur Mongolei sind es grade mal 200 km. Am Nachmittag \u00fcberqueren wir die Grenze zur Provinz Gansu. Mir ist sofort aufgefallen da\u00df jetzt die Tankstellen nicht mehr abgesperrt und mit Security besetzt sind. Hoffentlich wird jetzt das Tanken f\u00fcr uns Mopedfahrer einfacher. Tagesendziel ist das Hostel Dunhuang Mingshan Masion in der Stadt Dunhuang. Habe nach der Ankunft noch den Tank der Bayerin abgelassen und ausgebaut um den zu reinigen und das Sieb des Benzinhahns auszublasen. Die Franzosen haben nen Kompressor in ihrem Camper eingabaut. Immer wenn es an Reserve zu geht macht der Vergaser Mucken und l\u00e4uft \u00fcber weil wohl Dreck reinkommt. \u00fcbernachten wir zwei mal am selben Ort, in der Stadt Dunhuang, genauer gesagt im Dunhuang Mingshan Masion Hostel. Hier in der N\u00e4he gibt es ein paar Dinge zu sehen, unter anderem alte H\u00f6hlen mit Malereien und Buddhas darin. Eintritt stattliche 25 Euro (auch f\u00fcr Chinesen). Oder besonders hohe und sch\u00f6ne Sandd\u00fcnen. Die anzusehen kostet nur die H\u00e4lfte. Ein Teil der Gruppe f\u00e4hrt zu den H\u00f6hlen, der andere bleibt erstmal im Hostel, wie ich. Habe schon gen\u00fcgend H\u00f6hlen und Buddhas gesehen und durch die Sandw\u00fcste sind wir erst k\u00fcrzlich gefahren. Au\u00dferdem ist mal Ruhe und Entspannung n\u00f6tig nach den erlebnisreichen Tagen in China. Und ein paar Dinge am Moped m\u00fcssen auch gerichtet werden. Und da ist noch meine Internetseite die seit der Einreise nach China brach liegt. Am Nachmittag fahren wir zur\u00fcckgebliebenen dann mit Hugo's Land Rover in die Innenstadt von Dunhuang um Mittag zu essen und nen Stadtbummel zu machen. Hugo und Christophe lassen sich die Haare (k\u00fcrzer als gewollt) schneiden. Auf dem Markt kaufe ich noch Obst f\u00fcr alle und anschlie\u00dfend fahren wir wieder zur\u00fcck - das war's f\u00fcr heute.<br \/>\nHALT !! Noch was wichtiges habe ich vergessen. Bin am Abend noch schnell ALLEINE zur n\u00e4chsten Tankstelle gefahren und habe volltanken lassen. Und das ohne Guide, ohne Security an den Tankstellen und ohne Barrikaden. So frei habe ich mich noch nie hier gef\u00fchlt seit wir da sind. Tagen gleichen sich. Wir fahren Etappe nach Etappe an der n\u00f6rdlichen Grenze der Taklamakan weiter Richtung Osten. Die Landschaft heute ist echt \u00f6de und \u00e4ndert sich den ganzen Tag kaum. Alles ist flach und w\u00fcst und leer. Ab und zu passieren wir ne Kleinstadt die man vom Highway aus sehen kann. Sehr unangenehm ist der b\u00f6ige, kalte Wind heute. Der ist so stark, da\u00df ich \u00f6fters Geschwindigkeit wegnehmen mu\u00df um nicht ins Schlingern zu geraten. Habe heute so ziemlich alles angezogen was unter die Motorradjacke passt, insgesamt sieben Lagen. Also nach dem Zwiebelprinzip. Und trotzdem ist es frisch im Freien. Kein Wunder, die Ebene auf der wir fahren ist zwischen 1700 und 2000 Meter hoch. Nach Mittag passieren wir die schneebedeckten Gipfel des Jilien Gibirges. Gegen 16 Uhr erreichen wir dann die Kleinstadt Jiayuguan. Dort besuchen wir einen Teil der restaurierten Chinesischen Mauer. Anschlie\u00dfend trennt man sich in Camper und Nicht-Camper. Nachdem ich mir heute stundenlang fast den Ar... abgefroren habe entscheide ich mich f\u00fcr ein warmes Bett in einem Hostel. Vormittag steht nochmals Sightseeing auf dem Programm. Wir besuchen die alte Festung Guan City, Teil der Chinesischen Mauer. Die Stadt wurde w\u00e4hrend der Ming Dynastie gebaut und war ein strategisch wichtiger Punkt an der Seidenstra\u00dfe. Sie liegt zu F\u00fc\u00dfen der Qilian Mountains. Da das Gel\u00e4nde um die Stadt sehr weitl\u00e4ufig ist haben wir uns elektrobetriebene Dreir\u00e4der gekauft und ein Rennen veranstaltet - hat riesig Spass gemacht. Die Tagesetappe am Nachmittag ist mit etwa 250 km recht kurz ausgefallen. Obwohl es recht kalt ist bin ich auf der einen Seite froh Motorrad zu fahren da wir Mopedfahrer keine Autobahnmaut bezahlen m\u00fcssen. Denn die ist nicht wirklich g\u00fcnstig in China. Die anderen bezahlen grade t\u00e4glich so zwischen 10 und 20 Euro. Ziel heute ist die Stadt Zhangye. Dort sind wir im \"The Silk Road Travelers Hostel\" untergekommen. Wie immer ist Abfahrt um 9 Uhr (geplant). Bis man dann wegkommt wird es meist halb zehn. Autobahn fahren ist heute nicht angesagt. Die Fahrt f\u00fchrt \u00fcber das Qinlian Gebirge, und das ist sehr hoch. Insgesamt drei P\u00e4sse \u00fcberqueren wir. Der erste ist 3685 Meter hoch, der zweite 3767 Meter und der h\u00f6chste, gleich nach nem Gebirgstunnel ist 3792,75 Meter hoch. Und damit gleichzeitig der h\u00f6chste Pass den ich jemals gefahren bin. Die Stra\u00dfen sind frei und es liegt kein Schnee auf der Stra\u00dfe. Die Gipfel ringsum sind jedoch alle wei\u00df gepudert und bestimmt 4000 - 5000 Meter hoch. Die Gegend hier erinnert schon etwas an Nepal denn die Einheimischen sind Buddhisten. \u00dcberall sieht man Gebetsfahnen im Wind wehen und die \"Hochgebirgsrinder\", Yaks genannt, grasen. Unser Tagesziel liegt etwa 20 km s\u00fcdlich der Stadt Xining. Es ist das Tibetische Dorf der \"Kumbum Monastery\". Ja richtig, tibetisch. Denn von hier bis zur autonomen Republik Tibet ist es gar nicht mal so weit. Vielleicht nur 100 - 200 km. Wir sind heute Abend alle etwas \"kaputt\" von der Fahrerei, obwohl es nur 370 km waren. Das liegt bestimmt an der H\u00f6he von fast 4000 Metern in der wir fast den ganzen Tag verbracht haben. \"Kumbum\"<\/h3>\n<p>Heute Vormittag besuchen wir das Kumbum Kloster in der Stadt Huangzhong, 25 km s\u00fcdlich von Xining in der Provinz Qinghai. Das Kloster ist gleichzeitig eine der sechs wichtigsten \"Gelug\" Schulen in der der tibetische Buddhismus gelehrt wird. Das Kloster wurde im 14. Jahrhundert gebaut und schon von diversen Dalai Lama's besucht. Anschlie\u00dfend fahren wir etwa 200 km weiter Richtung S\u00fcden in die autonome Pr\u00e4fektur \"Huanghan\". Dort besichten wir eine weiteren tibetischen Tempel und eine Kunstschule, bevor es wieder ab in die Berge nahe Labang zum Campen geht. D.h. es wird wieder gegrillt (diesmal Chicken) und dazu gibt es eine leckeren Kartoffelbrei (nat\u00fcrlich von Emeline). Da wir fast 3000 Meter hoch sind wird die Nacht bestimmt sehr kalt. Au\u00dferdem ist keine Wolke am Himmel zu sehen. Um die Temperatur etwas angenehmer im Zelt zu gestalten nehme ich eine hei\u00dfen Stein vom Feuer mit, wickle den in ein Handtuch und lege ihn in den Schlafsack. Das h\u00e4lt die ganze Nacht die F\u00fc\u00dfe warm. Haben unsere Franzosen so jede Nacht auf dem Pamir Highway in Tadschikistan gemacht als sie \u00fcber 4000 Meter waren.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\u00a0<style bemerken wir erst, da\u00df wir unser Lager inmitten der trockengelegten Reisterassen aufgeschlagen haben. Die Nacht war eiskalt. Das Thermometer zeigt minus 6 Grad an. Zum Aufw\u00e4rmen marschieren wir auf einen naheglegenen H\u00fcgel hoch auf dem sich ne Budhha-Statue befindet und viele Gebetsfahnen im Wind wehen. Von hier oben hat man ne sch\u00f6ne Aussicht auf die Reisterassen der Umgebung. Wir bilden heute\u00a0 2 Gruppen. Eine Gruppe macht nochmals Sightseeing in einem anderen tibetischen Kloster und anschlie\u00dfend Camping irgendwo in der Pr\u00e4rie. Die andere Gruppe das sind wir beiden Biker, Tamir und ich, sowie Brigitte und Yvonne. Wir verzichten auf das Sightseeing, nehmen den 2. Guide Kiven mit und machen uns auf den Weg Richtung Xian zu Beni. Ganz werden wir das wohl nicht schaffen da es \u00fcber 900 km sind. F\u00fcr uns steht also ein reiner Fahrtag auf dem Programm. Zun\u00e4chst f\u00fchrt die Fahrt weiter in die Berge \u00fcber einen Pass von \u00fcber 3600 Metern H\u00f6he. Hier frieren mir fast die Finger ein trotz Griffheizung. Die Landschaft ist recht karg aber trotzdem abwechslungsreich und toll anzusehen. Fast wie in Nepal erinnern auch die vielen zottigen Rinder, Yaks genannt und Schafe. Ein kleineres Problem stellen wieder mal die Tankstellen f\u00fcr uns Biker dar. M\u00fcssen wir an der ersten Tanke die Motorr\u00e4der noch vorher abstellen und an die Zapfs\u00e4ule schieben (und hinterher auch wieder raus), so verweigert man uns an der zweiten Tankstelle generell den Sprit. Erst beim dritten Versuch bekommen wir wieder den Tank gef\u00fcllt.<br \/>\nBis etwa 300 km vor Xian schaffen wir es heute. Genauer gesagt bis zur Provinzstadt Tianshui. Da\u00df wir wieder in die Nacht hineinfahren m\u00fcssen gef\u00e4llt mir gar nicht. Zumal wir auf den letzten 10 km im z\u00e4hflie\u00dfenden Verkehr stecken. Weiter vor uns fahren zwei Schwertransporter, die Stra\u00dfe ist kurvig und f\u00fchrt durch Tunnel, ein \u00fcberholen praktisch unm\u00f6glich. Das f\u00fchrt nat\u00fcrlich wieder dazu da\u00df viele idiotische Chinesen von hinten nach vorne dr\u00e4ngen um schneller voranzukommen. Die Gefahr im Verkehr hier kommt immer von hinten! Die \u00fcberholen im Affenzahn auf un\u00fcbersichtlichen Kurven um sich bei Gegenverkehr dann irgendwo in die Kolonne reinzudr\u00fccken. So gef\u00e4hrlich \u00fcberhole ich nichtmal mit dem Motorrad. Und wenn du nicht aufpasst, dann schie\u00dfen sie rechts an dir vorbei um sich vor dir reinzudr\u00fccken. Sprich die versuchen dich dann auf die Gegenfahrbahn abzudr\u00e4ngen, diese Schei\u00dfchinesen. Die letzte halbe Stunde vor der zum Gl\u00fcck unbeschadeten Ankunft dachte ich des \u00f6fteren jetzt knallt es sicher und wenn's dumm hergeht bist du wieder dabei. Selbst in einem schlecht beleuchteten Tunnel schie\u00dfen die auf der Gegenfahrbahn nach vorne ohne R\u00fccksicht auf Verluste. Was das ganze noch schliimmer macht ist die Tatsache da\u00df die meisten nicht mal ein Licht anschalten. Der Chinese schaltet das Licht erst dann ein wenn er nichts mehr sieht. Einer der Dr\u00e4ngler hinter uns hatte bei D\u00e4mmerung noch kein Licht an. Als er dannn in den Tunnel f\u00e4hrt schaltet er es ein um es am Tunnelausgang wieder auszuschalten. Mir ist es seit heute egal wenn sich die Chinesen gegenseitig totfahren (von denen gibt es eh genug), aber bitte lasst uns Ausl\u00e4nder aus dem Spiel! heute die 1000 Euro Preisfrage zuerst: Ein schwarzes Auto von oben bis unten mit Dreck verschmiert f\u00e4hrt ohne Licht in einem schlecht beleuchteten Tunnel auf der \u00dcberholspur. Was ist das?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anwort: eine chinesische Zeitbombe. Gesehen heute auf der Fahrt von Tianshui nach Xian.<br \/>\nLosgefahren sind wir schon fr\u00fch um acht Uhr ohne Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck. Das gibt es nur selten in chinesischen Hotels. Volltanken der Bikes war auch fast kein Problem. Nur bei der Auffahrt auf die Autobahn wollten sie uns Motorradfahrer an der Mautstelle nicht durchlassen. Zweir\u00e4der sind auf Autobahnen verboten, so hei\u00dft es. Obwohl es daf\u00fcr kein Gesetz gibt, so unser Reiseleiter Shang. Wir machen denen klar da\u00df wir schon 3000 km von Kashgar bis hierher auf den Highways gefahren sind ohne Probleme und da\u00df wir gro\u00dfe und schnelle Bikes haben und keine Scooter wie Milliarden von Chinesen. Nach langem hin und her zupft einer der Beamten an meiner Jacke um zu sagen da\u00df man so angezogen eh nicht auf der Autobahn fahren darf. Ich verstehe schnell, packe die Warnweste aus und ziehe sie \u00fcber. Ebenso Tamir. Da fallen dem Beamten keine Gegenargumente mehr ein und er l\u00e4sst uns eher widerwillig fahren.<br \/>\n120 km sp\u00e4ter an der n\u00e4chsten Mautstelle dasselbe Theater. Warum d\u00fcrfen wir auf einmal nicht mehr auf der Autobahn fahren? Unser junger Guide Kiven der heute mit uns unterwegs ist hat sich von den Beamten des Verkehrsministeriums das f\u00fcr die Mautstellen zust\u00e4ndig ist, schon breitschlagen lassen da\u00df wir runter m\u00fcssen und auf Landstra\u00dfen weiterfahren. Das w\u00fcrde uns einen halben Tag kosten. Tamir und ich bequatschen aber die Beamten so lange bis die eine f\u00fcr sich akzeptable L\u00f6sung finden. Denn nur 100 Meter weiter ist ein Checkpoint der Verkehrspolizei. Und wenn die uns durchlassen soll's ihnen Recht sein. Und denen ist's tats\u00e4chlich wurscht, die winken uns durch. Vermutlich haben die sich gedacht wenn die Mautstelle nichts auszusetzen hat dann wird's schon passen. Hoffentlich haben wir dieses Theater nicht die n\u00e4chsten verbleibenden 2,5 Wochen hier. Wieder f\u00fchrt die Fahrt wie die vergangenen Tage durch die Berge. Morgends ist es neblig und herbstlich k\u00fchl. Die Chinesen haben das Gebirge regelrecht mit vielen Tunnels durchl\u00f6chert wie einen Schweizer K\u00e4se. Der l\u00e4ngste war knapp 13 km lang.<br \/>\nXian\u00a0ist Hauptstadt der Provinz Shaanxi und liegt ziemlich in der geographischen Mitte von China und ist selbst f\u00fcr chinesische Verh\u00e4ltnisse ne Gro\u00dfstadt. Einwohnerzahl bestimmt gr\u00f6\u00dfer 10 Millionen. Das wird schon hundert Kilometer vor der Stadt deutlich als die Autobahn von vier auf acht Spuren vergr\u00f6\u00dfert ist, aber kaum Fahrzeuge fahren wegen der hohen Geb\u00fchren.<br \/>\nHeute Abend treffen wir endlich Beni wieder. Der ist schon seit 10 Tagen hier. Seine F800 konnte auch wieder repariert werden. Man sollte es nicht glauben aber es waren tats\u00e4chlich nur die Z\u00fcndkerzen. Und die wurden in Hotan schon gepr\u00fcft und gewechselt. Ich glaube die Chinesen hatten keine Ahnung (wie so oft). Ausklang des Abends in einer Karaoke-Bar. Die Bayerin hat sich einen Ruhetag verdient. Au\u00dferdem muss ich nach dem K\u00fchler L\u00fcfter schauen. Denn der schaltet nicht mehr ein. War bisher in den Bergen bei kaltem Wetter kein Problem. Da wurde er nicht gebraucht. Aber hier in Xian hat es (Gott sei Dank) \u00fcber 20 Grad. Da sollte er funktionieren. Nach dem \u00dcberbr\u00fccken des K\u00fchlmittel Schalters l\u00e4uft er an. D.h. es ist wohl der Schalter kaputt. Das ist auch schlecht denn so einen bekomme ich hier wohl nicht. Bleibt nur die M\u00f6glichkeit den L\u00fcfter manuell \u00fcber einen Schalter am Lenker einzuschalten wenn der Motor zu hei\u00df wird.<br \/>\nDie Stadt Xian wurde im 6. Jahrhundert als neue Hauptstadt des Chinesischen Kaiserreichs gegr\u00fcndet . Heute Vormittag machen wir nen Abstecher zur Stadtmauer von Xian. Sie ist die gr\u00f6\u00dfte und heute vollst\u00e4ndigste Stadtmauer in der Volksrepublik China. Dank umfangreicher Renovierungsma\u00dfnahmen seit den 1980er Jahren ist die Stadtmauer heute auf der gesamten L\u00e4nge begehbar und bildet einen rechteckigen Ring um die Altstadt Xi\u2019ans. Am besten umrundet man sie mit einem der vielen Fahrr\u00e4der die man auf der Mauer mieten kann denn eine Umrundung sind fast 15 Kilometer. Jedenfalls ne sch\u00f6ne Abwechslung zum Motorrad Fahren und interessante Blicke in die Innenstadt.<br \/>\nAm Nachmittag fahren wir dann mit dem Bus 40 km raus aus Xian zu meinem Highlight der Chinareise, wir besuchen die Terracotta Armee:<br \/>\nDas Mausoleum Q\u00edn Shohu\u00e1ngd\u00ecs ist eine fr\u00fchchinesische Grabanlage, errichtet f\u00fcr den ersten chinesischen Kaiser Q\u00edn Shohu\u00e1ngd\u00ec. Mit dem Bau wurde im Jahr 221 v. Chr. begonnen, und der Kaiser wurde im Jahre 210 v. Chr. darin beigesetzt. Es ist einer der weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dften Grabbauten und vor allem bekannt f\u00fcr seine gro\u00dfen Soldatenfiguren, die sogenannte \u201eTerrakotta-Armee\u201c. Die Entdeckung der \u201eTerrakotta-Armee\u201c geschah rein zuf\u00e4llig 1974, als Bauern aus dem Dorf Xiyang versuchten, einen Brunnen zu graben.
